Thin Film Deposition

The Condensed Matter Group has world-class facilities for the deposition of thin films including metals, oxides, semiconductors and a range of magnetic materials. The group specialises in the growth of layered structures for spintronics applications.

Our materials growth facilities include sputter and molecular beam epitaxy thin-film deposition systems, as well as resistive evaporators.
